Yung Han is the vice president of Asia sales, overseeing sales efforts in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. He came to Alereon from ON Semiconductor, where he was vice president of sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific region and generated over US$300M annual sales revenue. He also formed the Wireless "Solutions Engineering Center" in Korea with an initial team of 10 engineers and marketers. The center promotes various solutions to global phone manufacturers such as Sony, Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, and LG.
Han has more than 24 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, and has a strong background in management, marketing, sales, and engineering. He has been responsible for providing solutions to the wireless communication and portable consumer, computing, power supply, and automotive markets. Prior to working at ON Semiconductor, Han served in executive marketing positions for Siliconix and Temic Semiconductors where he oversaw sales and marketing activities in Korea before moving into a representative role for the entire Asia Pacific region.
In 1992, Mr. Han co-founded and served as CEO of INEX Technologies, a company that developed and marketed notebook computers with an emphasis on wireless cellular data communication. INEX successfully developed and implemented CDPD wireless products directly connected to notebook computers while generating $18M in revenue in 1993 and 1994. Mr. Han also worked in various marketing and engineering roles for Chips and Technologies, Inc.; Telex Computer Products, Inc.; Gavilan Computer Corp.; and National Semiconductor.
Han holds an MSEE from Oregon State University. He is fluent in Korean, Chinese, and English.
