Eric Broockman is the founder and CEO of Alereon. He came to the company from Legerity, where he served as the vice president of global marketing and general manager of the Voice over Broadband product line. He has more than 23 years of leadership practice in the fabless semiconductor and communication IC industries, with specific experience in managing product development, customer and strategic marketing, branding, marketing communications and public relations.
Dr. Lansford is the Chief Technology Officer of Alereon. He has more than 25 years of experience in communications system analysis and design, as well as digital signal processing. In addition to developing advanced technologies and architectures for future UWB systems, he is heavily involved in a number of standards, trade groups and regulatory activities. Dr. Lansford was co-chair of the recently disbanded IEEE 802.15.3a High Rate WPAN Task Group, and was formerly the chair of the IEEE 802.19 Wireless Coexistence Technical Advisory Group. He was also a significant contributor to both the IEEE 802.15.2 and 802.11g regulatory groups.
Dr. Shoemaker is the vice president of engineering and operations for Alereon, overseeing the company's engineering efforts as well as manufacturing operations. He has more than a decade of industry expertise designing RF, analog, and ASIC solutions, as well as developing software and system designs.
Dirk Luthro serves Alereon as vice president of finance and administration. He was promoted from his previous position at Alereon as the director of finance, a position he held for two years. Prior to joining Alereon, Luthro served as vice president of finance for Applied Science Fiction (ASF), where he was responsible for creating due diligence information for Series E Financing, developing budgets, creating a long term business model and helping negotiate the sale of the company to Eastman Kodak.
Jim Meyer is the vice president of sales and business development for Alereon. He is responsible for identifying, building and managing strategic alliances to advance Alereon's business development efforts in emerging markets. Prior to joining Alereon, Meyer served as vice president of business development for Time Domain Corporation, where he was responsible for the company's pursuit of key opportunities in the entertainment-networking market. He also played a vital role in identifying wireless networking opportunities and establishing partnerships in the small office/home office environment.
Yung Han is the vice president of Asia sales, overseeing sales efforts in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. He came to Alereon from ON Semiconductor, where he was vice president of sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific region and generated over US$300M annual sales revenue. He also formed the Wireless "Solutions Engineering Center" in Korea with an initial team of 10 engineers and marketers. The center promotes various solutions to global phone manufacturers such as Sony, Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, and LG.
