Austin, Texas, September 6, 2005 – Alereon, a leading fabless semiconductor company developing wireless solutions for Certified Wireless USB from the USB-IF and WiMedia Ultra-wideband (UWB) markets, today introduced the 4400-EVB UWB physical layer evaluation board. The 4400-EVB is designed to make it easy for developers to build devices and products using Intel's Peripheral Development Kit for Certified Wireless USB.
The 4400-EVB supports data rates up to 480Mbps and can deliver full payload performance because of its configurable interface which supports speeds from 66Mhz down to 22Mhz. (Alereon will next demonstrate the 4400-EVB at the Certified Wireless USB Developers Conference in Tokyo, Japan beginning September 28th.)
