Company Showcases Solution Targeted for Mobile and Handheld Applications
Certified Wireless USB Developers Conference, SAN JOSE – June 21, 2006 – Alereon, Inc., the mobile Ultrawideband (UWB) technology leader for WiMedia and Certified Wireless USB markets, today demonstrates the first silicon solution optimized for Certified Wireless USB devices. The demonstration runs today through Thursday at the USB Implementers Forum's (USB-IF) Certified Wireless USB Developers Conference (DEVCON) at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The demonstration uses Alereon's AL4000 Wireless USB two chip set consisting of the AL4300 Wireless USB Media Access Controller/Baseband Processor and the AL4100 UWB RF Transceiver. The Baseband processor and RF transceiver are identical to Alereon's AL4000 WiMedia PHY for use in Wireless USB host applications.
