Alereon is actively involved in many groups working to develop and implement industry standards for the emerging UWB market. Alereon's first product will be compatible with the Ecma standard for PAN communications. Large consumer electronics and personal computing companies are participating in the formation of the standard and several are working with Alereon as it develops its first chipset product.
